American Broadband acquires HunTel
telephone, Agreement continues 102-year commitment to serving rural Nebraska communities
Charlotte, NC, May 9: American Broadband Communications has acquired telephone, cable TV, and Internet operations serving 13,300 access lines, 8,700 cable customers, and 3,400 broadband customers in 22 Nebraska communities from HunTel Systems, Inc., a family owned business based in Blair, Nebraska. American Broadband’s Nebraska operations include Arlington Telephone Company, The Blair Telephone Company, Eastern Nebraska Telephone Company, Rock County Telephone Company, HunTel Cablevision Inc., HunTel.net Inc., and its competitive local exchange carrier in Tekamah, NE. “Our grandfather E. C.
